4 months… 5 months… 6 months

I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. Everytime I went to make a monthly post I would think “eh, its already late.. I’ll just do it next month”. And here we are, 3 months later.

Now..

FISCHER IS THE BIG 6 MONTHS!!

I have a 6 month old. Wow.

In the last few months we have rolled all over, popped a tooth, almost sit up totally on my own and gone back to the days of no sleep. That’s right. After months of sleeping through/mostly through the night Fisch has decided he wants to see a lot more of his mommy and daddy and has started waking 4 times a night on average. For our sanity we are have gone back to our original co-sleeping ways and while I love having him in the bed with us, HE IS A HOG.

“What happened to the sheet?”

Fisch has it.

“What is sticking in my back?”

Oh, thats a tiny foot.

*wakes up* “Oh man, I have to pee…”

Nope, he has attached himself and is way too busy suckling to let me relieve myself.

He is a silly silly boy.

Fisch’s faves:

  • cooking with Mommy and Daddy
  • Mr. Bacon
  • being in his carrier
  • not wearing any clothes
  • smacking at everything
  • his brother Gus

The past 6 months have been amazing but probably the hardest of my life. Physically, financially and emotionally. It has created a different kind of love in our lives that we never thought was possibly and has at points tried our relationship with each other. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m not just a mom and that I am my own person, but that is all part of the process. I am excited to find myself again and for Wes and I go grow together and find a whole new love with not only our family but with each other.

He is our greatest accomplishment and best friend.

You know that 4 month post we never wrote?

It would have had a giant banner stating: WE HAVE NOW ENTERED THE TEETHING STAGE.

Fischer has had 4 tiny teeth trying to poke through and now has a little nub down front.

Cutest thing ever.

Except for this adorable teething has lead to 50 bib changes each day, refusing naps, tiny red hands from chewing and the biggie.. the end of sleeping through the night.

Luckily we have been there and done that. So after a month of sleeping in his crib, Fisch has become a part time cosleeper. We are still putting him down in his crib but soon enough the crys start and he is brought into our bed and we all pass back out other than turning over every now and then to switch sides nursing.

As much as my back kills me in the morning I have to say that I am loving the chance to cuddle him again (that boy already thinks he is too old to cuddle mommy).

Time to cash in that massage I got for Christmas.

Hipster Fisch

We aren’t the type to worry about fancy baby clothes. Normally he lounges around in sleepers, footy sweatpants or naked but today he wanted to look good for Granny.

Introducing hipster Fisch: skinny jeans, stripped pull over, and his very own carabiner. Toboggan not featured.
